Life Has A Way Of Being . . .

Life can be the fullest of happiness. πŸŒ• But then something creeps in as it brings a little darkness. πŸŒ– And then that darkness begins to grow. But you are still okay. Until . . .πŸŒ“ That darkness spreads even more, taking more of the joy and hope that was there. πŸŒ’ And in the end, no light. Just sadness and depression wrapped up in mental fatigue.πŸŒ‘

Oh, but do not give up or lose hope. Life has a way of slowly but surely bringing back some light. πŸŒ’ It might be small at first but then πŸŒ“ And then.πŸŒ– And then.πŸŒ•

Scars Talking

If your scars were to speak to you, what would they say? Would they remind you how you got them? Or would they remind you how you overcame a difficult period in your life?

Would they sit silent and only to be awaken by you when memories of how they became enter your mind? And most importantly, do you have the power of what they say?

I guess for all of us we all have scars. Those events in our lives that left us with aching breathless moments. Those reminders that sit in the back of our minds, or always up front, ready to let us know that they are still there.

Are your scars talking? And what are you allowing them to say?

But What If It Is Darker?

We have all been through dark periods in our lives. Those times when joyless days seemed endless and dreary nights seemed unbearable? But eventually the end came for those kinds of days and nights. But . . . But what if they came back? But what if they came back darker than before?

So dark that no light is shining through. And no light is shining in because you are refusing it entry. Your pain is too deep, too strong to let any form of hope in. That wall is too high for any words of positivity to climb over. What do YOU do? And what YOU should not do. Yes, you. Because in the end, no matter how darker it becomes, it is up to you to let in the light. No matter how small, no matter how fleeting at that moment it may appear, you have to grasp it. Take it. Expand it. Mold it. And walk on through and out your moments of darker days. No matter how long or small steps. Slow gait. Crawling movements. Just move.

Hanging By A Thread

Some of us started this year all bubbly and bright, ready to take on life and what it would have given us. No matter what. As this year is heading towards the exit, that bubbly and bright turned into busted and dark. Life and what it gave some was too harsh, too unfair, too ugly and sad. Even for some Christians life was just too much to handle. Too much trials and tribulations. And for them, God was not present.

Hopeless and defeated, they are hanging by a thread. Life is hanging by a thread. Faith is hanging by a thread. I am not here to tell you that before this year ends life will get better. I am not here to tell you that tomorrow will bring about the positive change(s) that you have been praying for, hoping for.

I am here to tell you to not give up, not to throw in that proverbial towel and totally walk away from hope, from your faith, from the possibilities of the good that is on the way. From life. No matter who you are, whether you believe in God or not, DO NOT CUT THAT THREAD. Add more to it. Awaken the fighter within you. And ROAR.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰ And always remember that God is always present.

Light In The Jungle

This world is already a dark place, do not make it darker. Try to be a light in this world.

Well, the day has just begun
And I’m already running late
With too many irons in the fire
And too much on my plate
I’d be pulling out my hair
If I could just get one hand free
And I’d stop this world

What I feel
Is telling me I’m going crazy
But what is real
Says God’s still on His throne
What I need
Is to remember one thing:
That the Lord of the gentle breeze
Is Lord of the rough and tumble
And He is the King of the jungle

People say this world’s a jungle
And sometimes I must admit
I’d be scared to death
If I did not know who was king of it
But the truth is God created
This whole world with His own hand
So everything is under His command. from King of the Jungle by Steven Curtis Chapman

Wasting Emotional Energy

It did not hit me like a lightning bolt. There was not a bulb with a blaring light. What did it was fatigue. That led me to realize that I had to stop wasting emotional energy on people and situations that I really had no control over. I called this process surrendering.

You would hope that people, whether family members or not, strangers or friends, would make right decisions when you see them ruining their lives. When you see them going in the wrong directions. But we must come to accept that it is their lives.

It is not defeat when stepping back. Doing something to help them can still be done without us driving ourselves into depression or burnout.

Yes, I thank God and the people he sent my way in helping me with this process of surrendering. It is not perfect. And probably will never me. But I truly say that letting go feeeels good.☺️

No Personal Life Calendars

When we were born we were not given personal life calendars with our names on them. We were not told on that particular day you would face trouble. Or on that particular day you would face joy. No marked dates on when failure or success would come. No circles around days when sickness would show up or when healing would stop by.

Life is a journey and experience of unknowns with some expected days thrown in. There would be good days to balance out, or not to balance out, the bad days. Or vice versa.

Even without personal life calendars at birth, LIFE MUST BE LIVED. In spite of it all, and even because of it all, life must be lived. Are you living?

Rejecting Yourself

You never tried out for that team, that position, that promotion, that whatever because in your eyes you were never good enough.

You never asked that girl or boy out because in your eyes you were not good enough for them.

The others are better, pretty, beautiful, smarter, not from my kind of neighborhood, do not have my kind of parents, my kind of family, my kind of living conditions, my kind of poverty, my kind of skin color, my kind of this, my kind of that.

What do you expect when you reject yourself? Until you know your worth, know how valuable and priceless you are, do not expect anything and nothing of worth. Be priceless because you are.☺️
